Tips for a good walk
- Check the pavement
Hold the back of your hand on the ground for 7 seconds. If it is too hot for your hand, it is too hot for paws. Walk early or late on hot days. - Bring water and bags
Carry water for your dog, especially in summer, and always pick up after your dog. - Follow the posted rules
Leash rules, opening hours and separate areas for small and large dogs vary from park to park. Signs on site take priority over any website. - Know dog park etiquette
Only bring dogs that are vaccinated, healthy and comfortable around other dogs. Keep watching, and leave if play gets too rough. - Wait with puppies
Ask your veterinarian when your puppy’s vaccinations are complete enough for busy dog areas.
